Our Message
A lot of people see the word “fuck” in our name and get a preconceived notion that we are simply saying “fuck” to a particular scene or genre of music. To those people, I hope you read the following.
Fuckyourscenes.com is certainly not discriminating against any scene or genre of music, instead, trying to get rid of those. When I decided to call the website “Fuck Your Scenes,” I had every intention of covering multiple different scenes and genres of music. While I’m a big punk/metal/alternative fan (which is what you see a lot of on this site), if a major pop, country, etc., artist were to announce something big, I would certainly cover it. Why? Because it may not be my favorite scene/genre, I know a lot of people who enjoy different music than I do, and that’s certainly fine, so I want to spread that news with them.
Obviously there are more unknown bands of the punk/metal/alternative genres getting exposure on the site, but major artists for other scenes are covered as well. Along with this, if an unknown country, pop, or rap artist were to send news to my email, I would be more than happy to share that news on the website.
To sum up, “Fuck Your Scenes” is not saying “fuck” your scene/genre, but more saying “fuck” all scenes, because music is music. This is a music blog, not an exclusive blog to a specific scene.
